There's always an exception

As always, there's been a million thoughts running through my mind. Some important, some not so important. Adjusting back to my busy schedule these past few weeks has not allowed me adequate time to reflect and recover my mind. However, now I'm going to embrace my introversion, take a step back, recharge and have a moment with my own thoughts. 

2 things:

1) There's always an exception to all rules and laws. Always.

2) If you keep fighting your demons on your own, they'll only get bigger.

It's interesting to me how there is always an exception. Even when it's explicitly stated that they are no exceptions. Rules are meant to be broken. That makes me question why they were set in the first place. Rules are not there to punish you. I've realized that rules are just in place to help us learn how to set healthy boundaries, but they aren't necessarily set in stone. The more you focus on following the rules, the more you desire to break them. 

Life will not get easier. But you'll learn faster. I've always thought of my life as a cycle. I experience rough times, then it calms down for a while, but then the flood comes again. Issues die down only to rise up again - just when I think I've had enough. Everything begins ordered, but becomes disordered. We think we have control over things, but we don't. If things didn't get messed up, we wouldn't long for them to be organized. Now, I know that the temporary times of peace with the enemy is not order. Struggles are always there, sometimes just under the rug. When your demons get exposed, don't try to restrain them by yourself. Conquer them with the power that is available to you.
