Just for laughs: Me being Me

Photos By: Emily Woo
Faux fur coat: Macy's; Lace shirt: Van Heusen; Pants: Urban Outfitters (Kimchi Blue); Heels: Franco Sarto

I'm currently in Hong Kong, but these pictures are from a mini photoshoot done by my talented friend, Emily, back in Vancouver.

Pros of HK: Great shopping, cheap food, the fantastic pool where I'm staying
Cons of HK: Mosquitoes, Rude people, some dirty places/washrooms, takes a while to get around

Allow me to elaborate: First of all, the shopping and food are awesome. Everything costs less than Canada and there's amazing shopping areas. There was a street with tons of designer stores and I saw the biggest LV store I've ever seen, there was a line up just to get in. Fast food places actually serve good food, Mcdonalds and KFC are totally different from Canada. They have Asian rice and soy sauce chicken at KFC! The technology is also more advanced here, hard to explain but they come up with things to make everything easier. For example, there was a parking lot that tells you how many spots are open in each area so you don't have to drive around looking for one.

I'm allergic to mosquitoes and I wasn't warned of the pesty bugs I would be encountering; therefore, I have huge bites all over which are also blistering - gross and itchy! People are also quite oblivious here or they just don't care about their surroundings. When it was raining, everyone just whacks their umbrellas around hitting everyone aimlessly. Some streets don't have decent washrooms so it's kind of a hassle to find one, but there are nice malls that look clean and shiny haha. I live quite far from the central areas so it takes a while to take the train around but the train definitely moves faster than the one at home. Anyway, more photos later!

Worrying is a Sin

Blazer: Ann Taylor; Top: Old Navy; Pants: Zara; Heels: Steve Madden

Crazy pants eh? (bringing out my Canadian-ness there) I can totally understand mixed feelings about them, "They look like pajamas." "They're high fashion." Anyway, the past few days have been hectic, but definitely amazing as I attended the 3 day Vancity Dream Culture conference. It was sooo worth it! I will not let anything distract me as I focus on my crazy dreams. If you have a dream, you have that dream for a reason. I am going to position myself in order to receive all the blessings. I was not made to blend in with the crowd, but to stand out. I am a wild horse who will be tamed only by the loving master.  Don't worry, just run after Him.

Happy Mother's Day! Remind your mom that you love her.

Jacket: Forever 21; Velvet tank & pants: Urban Outffiters (BDG); Flats: Roberto Vianni; Sunnies: Fossil

Life is all about balance, we have to sacrifice some things in order for everything to work. At times we must step down, let go and humble ourselves. And I truly believe that in order for any relationship to run smoothly, the most important thing is to have effective communication.
