There are times in life where we take baby steps and times where we take giant leaps. I prefer to take the leap as I can accelerate forward quicker to reach my goals. However, it doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes it's necessary to take the small steps and learn one thing at a time. I've learned that it doesn't matter how far ahead you jump, as long as you are still moving forward. It's okay to make a mistake here and there. Mistakes do not set you back, they only set you up to get back on track. Small changes lead to big changes. Slow progress is better than no progress.

Becoming whole

Ups, downs, twists, turns. Life is full of unsolved mysteries. I never know where I'm headed next. I never know when the next curve ball will be thrown. I never know what is behind the next corner. Yet even with all these uncertainties, I still love every minute of it.  

I'm learning to receive, to belong, to be loved and to feel protected and secure. The deepest parts of my past are slowly coming to light and I am becoming more aware of experiences that have made me who I am today. Healing is entering my heart as hidden issues that were in the back of the drawer for many years are now resurfacing. Being vulnerable is still something I am not completely comfortable with yet, but I am slowly claiming my territory in this foreign land. Intimacy is a scary door to enter, but once you breakthrough you will never wanna turn back. I feel rested and ready for the next battle. Shame is breaking down and my armour is building up. The old rocks from the enemy can't bring me down anymore. 

I am excited to move forward and grow in ways that I've never encountered before. This process of becoming whole will allow me to one day give away what I have received and I can't wait until full restoration unfolds. I know that day will come sooner than I expect.
